The Seahorse Wedding Photographer Brighton | Fern & Josh | Dale Weeks
I’m Dale, a documentary wedding photographer based in East Sussex. Fern and Josh married at Brighton Town Hall on 31 August, then made their way through the Lanes and along the seafront to a reception at The Seahorse.
No stiff poses, no awkward lineups. A photo under the Love Lane sign was the one thing they asked for, and everything else was documented as it happened.
I photographed it the way I photograph everything: candid, colourful and relaxed, with no stiff poses and no awkward line-ups. The ceremony was short and the day moved on foot, so there was always something to follow.
Getting ready on the seafront
Fern got ready in an Airbnb along the seafront. A house full of bridesmaids, then some portraits in the streets.

A quick, intimate ceremony in the Regency room
The ceremony was at Brighton Town Hall, in the Regency room: quick and intimate. Afterwards there was confetti outside.

Through the Lanes and onto the seafront to The Seahorse
From the Town Hall they walked through the Lanes and back out onto the seafront. Then it was over to The Seahorse: informal, characterful and right on the beach.

Thinking about The Seahorse?
The Seahorse is informal, characterful and right on the beach: the kind of place where the party takes care of itself. If you are planning a wedding there, or anywhere in Brighton and Hove, there is more on my Brighton wedding photographer page.
