Clapton Country Club Wedding Photographer London | Dolly & Sean
I’m Dale, a documentary wedding photographer based in East Sussex. Clapton Country Club is one of those East London venues that does something different to a wedding — industrial, warm, full of character, and completely at ease with a crowd of people who are there to have a good time. Dolly and Sean’s day here was one of the best I’ve shot.
No stiff poses, no awkward lineups. Dolly and Sean wanted a celebration that felt like them — a 60s love letter with live music, personal details, and a dancefloor that didn’t stop. That’s exactly what they got.
Clapton Country Club
A converted warehouse in Clapton with exposed brick, industrial beams, warm festoon lighting, and a dancefloor that fills fast. It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t need much styling because the space already has more personality than most. Dolly and Sean knew that — and they brought their own anyway.
A 60’s Love Letter
Their wedding was a love letter to the 1960s music scene. A huge tapestry banner reading “Baby I’m Yours” hung above the reception. Tables were named after classic record sleeves. Sean got on stage with his band before the party kicked off. The whole day felt effortlessly cool without trying to be — which is exactly the kind of wedding that photographs itself.

A Venue with Soul – Clapton Country Club
Set in a former tram depot, this East London venue has that urban-meets-vintage aesthetic, with industrial beams, hanging festoon lights, and a mix of reclaimed wood and exposed brick. The venue is a blank canvas, which means couples can bring their own unique style to it—exactly what Dolly and Sean did.
60s-Inspired Details: Baby, I’m Yours
Dolly & Sean infused music into every part of their day.
A huge tapestry banner hung above them at the reception, emblazoned with “Baby I’m Yours”—a nod to their first dance song.
Instead of table names, each table was named after a classic record sleeve from their favourite 60s albums.
Sean took to the stage himself, performing with his band before the party kicked off.
The atmosphere was effortlessly fun, relaxed, and full of energy—the kind of wedding where nothing felt forced, and everything just flowed.

Clapton Country Club Wedding Photography
I’ve photographed many East London weddings, but what I love about this space is how versatile it is for photos. The mix of textures, soft lighting, and industrial backdrops make it ideal for capturing natural, cinematic moments.
The space works brilliantly for documentary photography — soft festoon light, rich textures, dark corners and bright moments. I barely had to move to find the next frame. Sean on stage with his guitar was one of those moments that arrives fully formed. Their first dance under the neon light was another.
