Brighton Wedding Photographer

BRIGHTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m Dale, a documentary wedding photographer based in East Sussex, shooting weddings across Brighton, Hove, and the south coast.
My style is candid, colourful and relaxed. No stiff posing, no awkward lineups. Just your day, documented honestly as it happens. The nervous laughs before the ceremony, confetti on the Town hall steps, and the chaos of the dancefloor.
Brighton is one of my favourite cities to shoot. The city has a natural energy and a mix of backdrops that makes every wedding feel different. From the Georgian architecture of the Town Hall to the seafront light, the Lanes, and the pub gardens of Hove – there’s always something worth photographing.

Wedding Photography at Brighton Town Hall
Brighton Town Hall is a brilliant ceremony venue – central, elegant, and with the sea just a few minutes’ walk away. It suits couples who want the official part kept simple and personal, with the rest of the day free to be whatever they want it to be.
After the ceremony, most couples head out into the city. I’ve documented everything from champagne picnics on the seafront to long pub lunches in Hove, Lanes wanderings, and evening receptions in garden bars and restaurants. The flexibility is exactly what makes Brighton weddings so enjoyable to photograph.
I know the Town Hall well – the light inside during the ceremony, the steps outside for confetti, and the best spots nearby for relaxed couple portraits. I’ll keep things moving without it ever feeling rushed.

My Approach to Brighton Wedding Photography
I photograph weddings the way a good guest would experience them – fully present, genuinely interested, and never getting in the way. My camera is always moving, but you probably won’t notice. That’s when the best photos happen: when no one’s performing for the lens.
The result is a wedding gallery that feels like a real record of the day – not a collection of poses, but a story. Moments between guests, the texture of the venue, the light at a particular time of day, the way you looked at each other during the vows. The kind of photos you’ll still be looking at in twenty years.

“We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos from Dale Weeks. The photos were edited and sent through so quickly – over 1,000 in total – and they completely captured the feel of the day.
Everyone we’ve shared them with has loved the style and commented on how natural they look. Dale was such a calming presence on the day – it never felt intrusive having him there, and even our guests mentioned how easygoing and relaxed he was.
He caught so many lovely, candid moments, as well as the little details we might’ve missed. We’ve got beautiful shots of our guests, the venue, our outfits, the couple shoot, and some brilliant flash photography from the party in the evening. There’s a great mix of creative angles and natural moments that really tell the story of the day.
Couldn’t recommend him more.”

Frequently Asked Questions — Brighton Weddings
Do you photograph Brighton Town Hall weddings regularly?
Yes — it’s one of my most-photographed ceremony venues. I know the space well, including the best spots for natural light during the ceremony and where to position for the confetti moment on the steps outside.
Can you cover the whole day if we’re having a reception venue in Brighton or Hove?
Absolutely. I’m used to Brighton days that involve walking between locations — from the Town Hall down to the seafront, through the Lanes, and on to a pub or restaurant for the reception. I’ll document it all as it unfolds, naturally.
What if we want just a short Town Hall ceremony covered?
My Ceremony & Story package starts from £1,200 and is ideal for couples who want ceremony coverage, a relaxed couple portrait session, and a few hours with your nearest people. Perfect for intimate Brighton Town Hall weddings.
Are you available for Brighton weddings year-round?
Yes. Brighton is a year-round wedding city — autumn and winter weddings here are often brilliant for photography, with quieter streets and dramatic coastal light. I cover Brighton weddings in every season.
How do I check your availability for my Brighton wedding?
Just drop me a message with your date and venue. I’ll come back to you within 24 hours (after coffee). There’s no pressure and no sales pitch — just an honest conversation about your plans.
