Brighton Town Hall & Seafront Weddings
Looking for Brighton wedding photography with a natural, documentary style? From Brighton Town Hall weddings to seafront strolls and pub receptions in Hove, I capture weddings in a way that feels candid, colourful, and real.
Emily and Robbie’s day shows exactly what that looks like: a Brighton Town Hall ceremony, a champagne picnic, and a relaxed reception at The Garden Bar in Hove, all told in a way that lets the story unfold naturally.
“We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos from Dale Weeks. The photos were edited and sent through so quickly – over 1,000 in total – and they completely captured the feel of the day.
Everyone we’ve shared them with has loved the style and commented on how natural they look. Dale was such a calming presence on the day – it never felt intrusive having him there, and even our guests mentioned how easygoing and relaxed he was.
He caught so many lovely, candid moments, as well as the little details we might’ve missed. We’ve got beautiful shots of our guests, the venue, our outfits, the couple shoot, and some brilliant flash photography from the party in the evening. There’s a great mix of creative angles and natural moments that really tell the story of the day.
Couldn’t recommend him more.”

Getting Ready Together at The Grand, Brighton
There’s something special about starting your day together. No big reveal, no separation. Emily and Robbie got ready side by side at The Grand Hotel Brighton — a vintage dress, personal touches, and calm before the day unfolded.
A Brighton Town Hall Wedding with Space to Breathe
The ceremony was early, at 11am, with just close family and a few friends. No big production. No performance. Just warmth, tears, and the legal bit, beautifully done.
Brighton Town Hall is a classic for good reason: elegant, central, and with the sea just steps away.
As they exited, the rest of the guests were waiting outside as bagpipes were playing, confetti flying, and champagne corks popping.

Seafront Wanderings and Pavilion Garden Walks
We had time. That’s rare. No strict timeline, just a relaxed walk through Brighton’s Pavilion Gardens, soaking in the sunshine, sharing sandwiches, and bumping into curious tourists.
A group photo happened just because everyone was together. That’s what makes it documentary… not choreographed, but lived.

The Garden Bar in Hove. A Laid Back Wedding Reception
The party moved to The Garden Bar in Hove. A tucked-away pub garden filled with sunshine, home-made wedding zines, tarot card readings, and heartfelt speeches.
They did their first dance early, and everyone joined in. By the time the buffet came out, the vibe was full summer day: cold drinks, warm hugs, and people who really showed up for each other.

Wedding Photography in Brighton & Hove
Brighton is full of contrast: sea and city, tradition and edge, all within walking distance. Whether you’re getting married at Brighton Town Hall, on the seafront. Or celebrating in a pub garden in Hove, the mix of backdrops makes every wedding feel unique.
That’s why I love working as a documentary wedding photographer in Brighton … letting the day unfold, capturing moments honestly… Finding the art in the interactions, the light, and the space around you.
