Had a wicked time with @sophiafloraldesign and @scissormeginger in Hastings Old Town yesterday.
Bit of wind, bit of sun, plenty of grins.
Backstreets, fishing huts, wildflowers, and a walk that never felt rushed.
Wrapped it up at The Cove in Fairlight, which couldn’t have been a better end to it all.

prosecco in hand. heels in grass. shirts loosening.
kids ran wild. socks didn’t stand a chance.

no stress. just a day that knew what it was doing.

A yellow dress. A tipi by the lake. A mariachi ban

They didn’t walk down an aisle.
They greeted guests like it was their house party.
By 6pm we were on a boat.
By 8 we were dancing barefoot.
By midnight, the stars had no competition.

Just Nat and Marc, standing side by side by the water, greeting every guest like it was their house party on the edge of the world.

There were sausage rolls and conga lines. A tipi by the river. A mariachi band on a boat, brass cutting through the stillness of Lake Windermere.

Nothing posed. Everything honest.

Just two people who’d already said yes that morning. I shot their legal ceremony in the quiet before the show.

They arrived together—hand in hand, no first look needed.
That was the look.

Alice got changed in an old wagon. No big setup. Just a mirror, some light, a moment. I used a kaleidoscope filter—because not everything has to be sharp to feel true.

The day had a rhythm.
Cake (fake for photos, real straight after).
Confetti over a broom jump.
Canoe full of cold drinks.
Organ music in a barn.
And a carousel—technically a galloper—running clockwise into the afternoon.

I shoot documentary first.
But when the light’s right and the vibe’s good, I’ll flex. I’ll frame it like a film still. I’ll make it weird, if weird is what it needs.

Because real doesn’t mean boring.
And wedding photography should feel like your story—not a checklist.
