Fun, Party Wedding

Being a massive part of one of the most important days in someone’s life is already an honour as a wedding photographer, but when the couple book you on referral from one of their family members, it’s a whole different level! This fun, party wedding in Cheshire was a pleasure to shoot and I’m excited to share it with you today.

‘Unique Photography with Relaxed Style’

I’d previously photographed Pete’s sister’s wedding, so when it came to shooting his and Daisy’s wedding in Cheshire, it felt like being welcomed back into the family – and was well worth travelling across the country for!

“We already knew we liked your relaxed style,” the couple told me, “the photos feel more unique compared to some other photographers we’d seen, but when we were told how easygoing you were on the day, we knew you’d be perfect!”

Relaxed, Cheshire Wedding Venue

They chose Grange Barn in Cheshire for their reception for its’ relaxed yet practical vibe. The reverence of their church ceremony was a pleasure to be a part of, too; there’s just something about hymns and the bells! Pete’s family are fairly religious so it was important for them to have their ceremony there, but they added a nod to their personalities by including a sweet reading from Winnie the Pooh.

Laidback, Party Wedding

As their wedding had been postponed due to COVID, the couple decided to pair back the details and focus their efforts on what truly mattered to them – the bar, from The Estate Boys, and the band, The Collective – oh, and photography, of course! “We decided not to go too full on with flowers and decorations, and instead to put a lot of our energy into having a fun, party wedding.”

3 Things Any Great Wedding Reception Needs

“Our ideal night consists of great food, great wine and great company,” Daisy continued. “In fact, a dinner party that finishes with dancing on the tables is my favourite kind of evening, so it made sense that our wedding followed suit.” Are you having a fun, party wedding you’d like some relaxed images for too?
