A Cozy Autumn Celebration: Wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst

Cosy Autumn Wedding at The Bell in Ticehurst

Some weddings just belong to the season — and Mark & Jacqueline’s autumn celebration at The Bell in Ticehurst was exactly that. The cosy interiors, flickering candles, and rich colours of the pub set the scene perfectly for an intimate day full of laughter, warmth, and character.

Getting Ready at The Bell

The beauty of The Bell is how everything feels close and relaxed. Jacqueline got ready in one of the lodges – The Love Nest, surrounded by her bridesmaids and plenty of natural light. Across the garden, Mark and the groomsmen found their own cosy spot, raising a glass before the ceremony began. The whole place had that buzzing-yet-relaxed autumn energy.

An Intimate Ceremony

The Ballroom— The Bell’s rustic ceremony space — was lit with soft light from the chandeliers, fairy lights up the stairs, and autumnal tones. Guests gathered shoulder to shoulder as the couple exchanged vows, the atmosphere warm and emotional, like being inside the heart of a storybook pub wedding.

Drinks and Seasonal Vibes

After the ceremony, everyone spilled back into the bar and garden for drinks. Even as the evenings get cooler, The Bell’s garden still works beautifully for photos — with golden leaves underfoot and warm blankets on hand, the atmosphere was cosy and unpretentious.

Pub Feast and Evening Party

The reception felt like the best kind of autumn pub gathering: long banquet tables, hearty seasonal food, and plenty of wine flowing. As the night went on, the garden lights flickered on and the dance floor came alive inside. Guests danced shoulder-to-shoulder, with the wooden beams and quirky interiors making it feel both intimate and electric.

Why Autumn Works So Well at The Bell

The Bell has a magic in every season, but autumn seems to amplify its character:

  • Candlelit speeches in The Stable
  • Warm, rustic interiors that feel instantly inviting
  • Cosy corners for conversation and laughter
  • Seasonal food and drink that make the whole celebration feel special

Mark & Jacqueline’s wedding shows exactly why The Bell in Ticehurst is such a perfect pub venue for autumn celebrations. It’s cosy, characterful, and full of charm — the kind of place where your guests feel instantly at home.
